We grew up watching love that lasted. Grandparents who danced kompa in the kitchen. Parents who crossed an ocean and still held hands. Aunties who could tell you, to the day, how the story started.
Then we opened the dating apps — and found ourselves reduced to a filter option. Our language treated like a translation problem. Our culture squeezed into a flag emoji. And underneath it all, a machine built to keep us swiping, because our attention was the product.
Flè is our answer. A dating app built from the culture up — not patched in. Where Kreyòl is a first language. Where showing up serious isn't a red flag, it's the whole point. Where the goal isn't another match — it's the date that actually happens, and the story someone tells about it years from now.

The name
Flè means flower
In Haiti, the hibiscus is everywhere. On fences, in courtyards, tucked behind an ear — the national flower of a country that knows how to love out loud. It blooms for a single day. It doesn't wait, and it doesn't pretend. That's why the Hibiscus is Flè's rarest gesture: you get one a week. You spend it on the person who stops you, together with your premye mo — a first word they'll read before anything else. Scarcity here isn't a paywall trick. It's what intention feels like.
